Indigenous Peoples: North America
Webinar Information
Our friends at Gale Cengage are holding a webinar all about the Alberta Research Portal, a collection of primary source databases available at NO COST to all Albertans. The webinar will focus on databases that contain First Nations content (like the ORC database Indigenous Peoples: North America), as well as ones that discuss historical events covered in the Alberta K-12 Curriculum.
The Alberta Research Portal provides a window into history and using these types of resources encourage critical thinking in students. In this 30-minute webinar, we’ll cover strategies for targeting primary source content within the collections to support learning needs and share examples of how this content can help meet Alberta curriculum standards. This session will also provide a navigation overview and instruction on how to incorporate content into classroom work, so you’ll walk away with the skills you need to start exploring and sharing with students!
